RM521F-GL and Verizon

I am having difficulty connecting my RM521F-GL to Verizon. I am using a 5G M.2 to RJ45 adapter from MCUZone. The IMEI is approved for Verizon.

I am not getting a connection when connecting with an ethernet cable. Here is the output of AT+CGDCONT?

OK, you have a signal and you’re registered and even connected for ims (context #1). Try

AT+CGACT=1,3
AT+CGACT?

Then run once AT+CGPIAF=1,1,1,1 to get a better IPv6 formatting and re-check with AT+CGPADDR

I receive an error when I run these commands.

That is strange, but probably it is not yet implimented in the firmware as this model is relatively new.

Would anyone from Quectel (@silvia) have insight or know if this will be included in a future firmware update for the RM521F-GL?

Is your APN right? I see the VZWINTERNET APN in CGDCONT 3 when it should probably be in CGDCONT 1
Whatever the APN is you use for data access should be in CGDCONT 1. With Verizon this is typically VZWINTERNET

Try running AT+CGDCONT=1,“IPV4V6”,“VZWINTERNET”

Then reboot

3 is correct for this particular carrier, don’t know why )

Also can’t get online with the new RM521F-GL with Verizon, T-Mobile works, But Not with a static either, thinking a Firmware Update is needed to fix theses issues. X62 worked great.

Have you been able to get this to work with Verizon Yet ?
I was able to connect 1 time then after a quick reboot, 2 days ago it cant get an IP from Verizon, Plan is BYOD, IMEI and Sim all approved on BIZ plan, Seems to be issues with this new Modem.

Nope, I have not had any luck with Verizon. I get a signal, but no Ethernet connection on the RM521F-GL.

I do have a T-Mobile SIM in the device right now and it works great. I might try the Verizon SIM in a Wi-Fi router that has a RM520-GL. I’m wondering if it’s not working because the 521F is not approved on Verizon.

That explains it, Wonder how long before Verizon Green Lights it, So I can connect.

I have two units running the RM521F-GL, One on Verizon other is on T-Mobile, its getting download speeds around 450Mbps tower is little over 1 Mile out, running on 4x4 Wave Form on house Roof.

Let me guess, you bought an “Engineering Sample” and no one here has yet to ask you for the MBN profile readout trough the AT Command:

AT+QMBNCFG="list"

Also if you are not using a data only plan then it won’t connect.

I don’t know man. I bought mine from Ali Express, but didn’t look to see if the RM521F is an engineering sample. I was testing a VZW 5G Home Internet SIM without success.

Similar to @oscar169 , when I tested with a RM520-GL in a M10K21 router, I briefly had connectivity and then it stopped working.

Plans are all Biz Unlimited Data Device Plans, T-Mobile working great.
