Is there is specific Firmware version that I should be using?
I"ve tried RM502QAEAAR11A04M4G, as well as the newer 13 version.
I bought the module used, and it looks as though the previous owner must have hit it with firehose -e; which wiped out the XQCN (file/partition).
I received tech support from Quectel which helped me repair/replace the missing XQCN. Modem is up and running.
The firehose -e switch needs a much stronger warning for novice users, stating that use without the ability to update properly will soft brick the modem
Not sure of best way to share this. I emailed the Quectel support team via link on main quectel page.
Someone at Quectel sent me both the XQCN file and the QPST Installer.
I did that, along with firmware update and my RM502 has been up since Jan 2023
You could ask Quectel here, or I could share. I could put my files on Mega.nz and share them there
You need RM502Q-AE.xqcn
as well as the
QPST v2.7.496 Windows application to install the XQCN partition
