hi, i have RM551EGL00AAR01A03M8G on suncomm 08 ultra and it performing worse then balong 5000!!!
what is going on?

Sorry, I didn’t get your point. What do you mean of “it performing worse” ?

let me explain: the likely culprit is my ISP.
the rsrq is poor in my area, less then 10, b1 good signal, b3 good signal, b20 good signal but bad speed, b41 very poor signal but has CA within b41, allowed 4 within b41, others only 1 connection. At top of b1, b3 and b20 is n77 5g.
Now when i do speed test: the balong 5000 gives few mbps more then this module when in NSA. The balong is only CA B1, B3, N77. While this module does CA: B1, B3, B41, 41, N77. Still speeds and ping in NSA is little slower. When i switch to LTE only, balong 5000 connect to b1, b3, b41, while this module connect to b1, b3, b41, b41, it is here the speeds are better with this module then the balong and balong is slower with only LTE. also at peak times, NSA is unusable with both this module and balong 5000, less then 5mbps, i have to use LTE during peak hours and this module gives better speeds around 24 mbps then with balong 5000 which gives around 15mbps at peak hours.

For speed test, it is better to compare with same combinations.

RM551EGL00AAR01A03M8G is not good. Big step backwards for many usage scenarios. MBN profiles have more issues than RM551EGL00AAR01A02M8G, ADB access is getting tighter to get control of. I don’t recommend anyone upgrades. Stay on December 2024 firmware RM551EGL00AAR01A02M8G for now.
