I have resent the link to you. Please try again. If it still fails, you will need to provide a shared storage space. I can then upload the firmware to it.

Hi,
My EC25 is running EC25EFAR06A18M4G. How old is this firmware?
I face modem keeps resetting it its running for long time, (2-3 days), then no only solution is to power cycle the entire board. Is this a known issue for this firmware?
Can you please share the latest version as well.

I am running openwrt and EC25-E is attached to the mPCIE slot. How to upgrade it while its UP.
Does QFirehose help in this case, can you please provide this and steps to upgrade the firmware?

I did upgrade the firmware with QFirehose successfully while modem was attached to the router (but not in use). Just unpack the firmware zip file into a subdirectory and run QFirehose like this:

QFirehose -f EC25EFAR06A21M4G

where EC25EFAR06A21M4G is the subdirectory that contains the firmware.

You’ll need to have QFirehose compiled for the host architecture. The source code is at Github.

Quectel EC25 — AT+QENG not responding in CMUX connected mode (ArduPilot LTE modem driver)

Module: Quectel EC25E Firmware: EC25EFAR06A18M4G Setup: ArduPilot Lua LTE modem driver, CMUX enabled, UDP data connection active

Issue:

Using the ArduPilot LTE modem Lua script with a Quectel EC25E module. The script sends AT+QENG="servingcell" every 1 second via CMUX DLC1 to get serving cell information (CID, TAC, RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, band) for logging to the flight controller’s dataflash log.

The command is being sent correctly — confirmed via serial log. However the EC25 gives no response to AT+QENG="servingcell" on the CMUX AT channel (DLC1) once the UDP socket is open. AT+CSQ on the same channel works fine and returns a response every second. AT+QENG works normally when tested directly on the UART before the socket is open.
-Is this a known restriction in EC25EFAR firmware — AT+QENG blocked on CMUX AT channel during active data session?

  1. Is this fixed or improved in a newer firmware version? If so, which version should I target?
  2. Is there a different command or QCFG setting that would allow QENG to respond while a socket is active?
