LC29H -DA and BS module configuration and latest firmware with documentation

Hello,

Can I get the firmware for LC29HDA?

Current: LC29HDANR11A02S_RSA

Looks like I can’t get GPS or RTK to work.

Hi,

I have the LC29HBSMD it outputs strange characters and the firmware is out of date.

On starting I get:

Can you supply a newer firmware:
$PQTMVERNO,LC29HBSNR11A01S,2023/02/13,10:14:06*27

Finally, I need to use this unit as a Rover, can I give it a command to put it into Rover mode? I have tried $PQTMCFGRCVRMODE,W,1*2A but nothing changes.

Thank you.

Rolf

Hi, @george.gao can I have latest FW for BS module also?
Current ver is $PQTMVERNO,LC29HBSNR11A01S,2023/02/13,10:14:06*27

Hi @george.gao

I got two modules, LC29HDA with LC29HDANR11A03S_RSA,2024/03/19,13:55:31
and LC29HEA with LC29HEANR11A03S_RSA,2023/10/31,16:52:14

Could you advise regarding the firmware? With both of them I cannot proceed beyond a “Single” fix…

Thanks,
Dmitry

Hi @Dmitry_K
Both of these are the latest versions.
Can’t single-point positioning, how did you test it? Can you take a complete picture of the test environment and test module including the antenna?

Hi George,

I can make a fix of type 1 (SPS) - but cannot advance to RTK.
Attaching below my modules and antennas.

The environment is - just an open field. I am putting the antennas on a roof of my car.

Thanks,
Dmitry

Hi @Dmitry_K
Have you injected base station data into the module? If yes, what base station information did you inject? How far is it from you?

Hi George,
I did multiple tests (in all of them the “external” station is BSHM00ISR0 from IGS network:

  1. Feed corrections from the external station, 17 km away of it (rural area)
  2. Feed corrections from the external station, ~200 m away of it (same university campus)
  3. Feed corrections from the external station, 1.7 km away of it (top of the hill, ~200 m above the station)
  4. Implement this article having HDA as a station and HEA as a rover - as well as vice versa, where their antennas are just next to each other.

BTW - could you suggest a sequence of commands, returning LC29HEA/HDA devices to a factory-default configuration?

Thanks,
Dmitry

caster is not useful with 1076 only …also posted poorly antennas that may impact performance.
Configure one module as base, fix location for 1005 rtcm value
$PQTMCFGSVIN,W,2,0,0,x,y,z*3B # set base location in XYZ coords
or the same in lat,lon.hei
$PAIR604,1,1,lat,lon,hei*CKSUM
add $PAIR436,1*26 ==> set RTCM3.x output with satellite ephemeris
for reset modules try

$PAIR382,1*2E → Test command for lock system sleep enabled
$PAIR003*39 → power off GNSS system
$PAIR514*3A Clear the current configuration and restore the default settings set via $PAIR
$PAIR512*3C clear all data
$PQTMRESTOREPAR*13 # restore $PQTM params to default
$PQTMSAVEPAR*5A
$PAIR023*3B reboot module
$PAIR007*3D → Full cold start and clears system and user configurations

U can use also rtklib by putting both modules in only rtcm output (as base) and do solution.
Regards

Please find below the station info:

The characteristics contradict the caster in better…
Try using rtklib STRSVR

so you can monitor rtcm output of BSHM00ISR Site.My igf account has expired…

@george.gao
Could you provide me with firmware updates please?
I have two modules:

  1. PQTMVERNO,LC29HBSNR11A01S,2023/02/13,10:14:06
  2. PQTMVERNO,LC29HDANR11A03S_RSA,2024/03/19,13:55:31

Also: the BS version ALWAYS responds with PAIR012. Whatever message i sent…

Thanks in advance

Hi @WernerT
I have sent you the relevant information via email, please check.

@george.gao I have the same problem. Can i get the information? Thanks a lot

My current version of firmware is:

$PQTMVERNO,LC29HDANR11A03S_RSA,2024/03/19,13:55:31*20

I am not seeing any Beidou satellites. Could it be a version issue? If there is a newer version please send it my way. Thanks!

Hi @Piotr_Soltys @David_Rice
I have sent you the relevant information via email, please check.
Hi @David_Rice
Please test in an open environment and check whether the antenna specification you are using supports the BDS satellite frequency band.

Hi!
I need latest firmware
$PQTMVERNO,LC29HDANR11A01S_RSA,2023/03/02,12:43:39*21
Thx Balazs

I have the same problem (BS version ALWAYS responds with PAIR012). Can i get the information?

Ok. I found the solution. The problem was a strangely behaving usb-ttl converter on the ch340G chip
