L85 GPS problem

Hello everybody,
I have a problem with the L86 GPS module.
In my project the L86 has the function of recording the position of a car as closely as possible during a car race.
I used two stock of L86, one with AXN_3.21_3333_14112701 firmware and the other with AXN_5.1.6_3333_18050800 firmware.
While the AXN_3.21 works very well, the second has major problems, in particular:

  1. The calculation of the position is much less accurate, above all I have noticed notable errors when the machine changes direction at high speeds.
  2. The number of satellites detected in the same conditions is, on average 4 or 5 units lower, than the AXN_3.21 firmware.

My questions are:
With the AXN_5.1.6 firmware, has been introduced any function that decreases the accuracy of the position (energy saving or other), or that estimates the position as a function of speed?
With regard to point 2, has any functionality been introduced that allows to maintain the accuracy of the measurement, despite the decrease in the number of satellites detected?

Then you will get f/w version like L86NR03A01S.

You didn’t get the correct firmware version from AXN_3.21_3333_14112701.
$PQVERNO,R*3F is the command that querying firmware version, Please check the response like

$PQVERNO,R,L86NR02A02S,2018/05/15,21:13*6E as AXN_5.1.6 did.

Any news about last post?

I recommend you to upgrade the latest firmware version L86NR03A01S both of them.
You can get the upgrading procedure from file EVB_User_Guide.
