it has GST now but it’s only to 1 decimal place. Quectel hopefully will increase the precision reporting to 3 or 4 decimals.
@george.gao pretty please ![]()

Hello, I have purchased the LG290P module on your development board but I would like support on how to activate it. I thought it was plug and play like other modules from different brands but it has been a little more complicated. I am from Ecuador and it does not allow me to create a user because of some data on your page.
Hi @Robert_C
Connect the serial port to the PC and open it with a serial port tool. Then you can see the output NMEA sentences. The baud rate is 460800 bps.
You can use the QGNSS tool
The download link for QGNSS is as follows:https://www.quectel.com.cn/download/qgnss_v1-4
Hi,
I bought an LG290P module from Aliexpress that has some weird FW in it.
For starters, commands are not $PQTM**** but $OPTI**** and VERNO lists the following:
$OPTIVERNO,LG290_SDK.1.2.0_GNSS.1.1.6,2024/11/18,20:06:08*0F
Can I flash LG290P03AANR01A04S on it or will it brick the module? Is it even a genuine module?
Please can U post your (real) module photo?
U can also try if (the equivalent) of $PQTMUNIQID*16 works, but send the serial number only to support@quectel in private…
Regards
Ok, so the serial n. works?
Imho the chip seems legit…but ipx (antenna) connection is not good…
from web:
Thanks!
Most of the PQTM commands work by replacing $PQTM with $OPTI.
Module works, so I’m hesitant about updating the FW.
Offtopic:
Spend quite a few hours yesterday figuring out how to get this working.
The antenna connection definetely adds to losses, can’t get a fix indoors where my phone gets almost immediate fix. But outdoors I was able to get good enough reception to get 20 mm RTK fix.
*Glad to hear
don’t upgrade, better hear @Raphael-Q , @george.gao and hope also support@quectel.com
and if the sdk_version is legit , please @staff let try newest version for HAS E6 solution!
Hello,
I have exactly the same issue as extin. In my case I already tried to update the firmware with the QGNSS but it does not sync. I followed the guide, configuring the baudrate and reseting the module.
So it is likely that it is using other/older protocol or, I hope not, the module is a clone.
Also contacted support sharing the ID as bamarcant suggested but they only redirected me here.
