I am reading the application note of another module supplier deploying the same Qualcomm chipset and uses Xtra service.

It has stated the prerequisites to use Xtra:
since qualcomm gnss assistance service requires a valid position before assistance data is downloaded, a fix must have been collected by the modem before using qualcomm service.

That’s interesting. Do you have link to the documentation?

It matches my observations for another Qualcomm-based modem EG25-G here:

XTRA not working after reboot on EG25-G

If XTRA data is loaded after reboot and standalone GPS mode is started, satellite information isn’t available in GSV sentences for a long time (may take several minutes). It looks like a cold start. If XTRA data is injected after GPS fix, then satellite information is available in GSV sentences almost immediately. If there was no GPS fix before, then satellite information isn’t available in GSV sentences for a long time (may take several minutes) and it looks like a cold start.

@Stephen.Li-Q could you confirm requirement of the fix before uploading XTRA data?
