I am finding issues using Verizon 31180 sim in the modem. Nor connecting and AT+COPS=? reporting just ERROR.
I wonder if this requires a FW upgrade or if at all this is allowed.
Other local SIMs in Europe work fine.
I am conducting the test in Sweden and Spain with a VZW SIM with private APN

Your data APN is in context 3, while the IMS APN is in context 1.
This is a normal Verizon default configuration. Almost all other providers use context 1 for data an context 2 for IMS.
Can you activate context 3 for data instead of context 1?
Running in ECM mode might work as an alternative.
So might populating context 1’s APNs explicitly, with AT+CGDCONT=1,"IPV4V6","VZWINTERNET" (but you might need to disable MBN to make that stick when swapping SIMs).
The problem is NOT an APN miss config, is that I cannot attach to ANY network if I use a Vzw sim so apn order is irrelevant

How are you trying to attach to a network for potential roaming?
I am in roaming . Specifically in Spain but same issue in Sweden
Let’s for a moment pretend you use AT+CGACT=1,1 to attempt the network attach.
If that were the case, I’d suggest trying AT+CGACT=1,3 instead when using the Verizon SIM.
I see you Angle it’s a good point but here is the catch
I am not even able to push ATGCT in any of the records 1-6 . Nothing , due to the fact that I can’t attach to any network . Even further I can’t scan .
This happens with any Vzw sim in any EC25G . Tried 5 sims , 2 devices , in Spain and Sweden
I understand the fixation on the APNs and initial attach but we are not there yet . For some reason the Quectel bans scanning , neighbors or listing the MNc/MCC from net
FW upgraded with firehose to the latest same issue .
Now I change to another sim , even without sim !!! Scanning and cops no problem
Can an IMSI or ICCID be banned by Quectel ?
It concerns me that you don’t even seem to get network registration. While that can often depend on having a valid APN, I agree that there seems to be more to it in your case.
I’m fresh out of ideas, and have no personal Verizon experience. I’m based elsewhere.
Let’s hope we can get Quectel involved in the discussion.
I am having email conversations with support but I think is worth sharing the findings for others facing same issue. Lets hope they come back

Somehow…And this is me guessing. The ICCID or IMSI somehow is bring blocked by the EC25G to even attempt scanning.
I tried a SIM without any profile or even better…NO SIM…scan was granted and I could see → at+qeng=“servingcell” but once I put VZW one, Nothing, modem dead.
Anyone from Quectel? Is this an issue for not being able to access the PLMN?
