Which parameter should be used to determine a good signal

The Quectel EG95 and BG96 modules are used in LTE only mode.
On our PCB there is an internal antenna (chip antenna) and a SMA connector (for an external antenna).
The RF switch needs to be operated to switch to the better antenna (internal or external).
Which parameter(s) should be used to decide which antenna to be used?

  • RSRP, RSSI, RSRQ, SINR?

RSRP indicates the signal strength of the base station cell received by the terminal, which can be used to measure the sensitivity of the terminal and the strength and weakness of the current network environment.
SINR indicates the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and interference level of the signal received by the terminal. If the current network is experiencing strong interference, the SINR will be lower
