Which AT command will give the most reliable signal strength?

Hi All,
we are using the BG95-M3 in our project and we need to find the signal strength from the module.
While checking I came to know there are several AT commands available to retrieve signal strength information from the module:

  1. AT+QCSQ
  2. AT+CSQ
  3. AT+QENG=“SERVINGCELL”

However, I’ve noticed that each of these commands yields different values, which has led to uncertainty about which one provides the most reliable signal strength indication.

  • AT+QCSQ: +QCSQ: “eMTC”,-73,-107,78,-18

  • AT+CSQ: +CSQ: 19,99

  • AT+QENG=“SERVINGCELL”: +QENG: “servingcell”,“CONNECT”,“eMTC”,“FDD”,310,260,2D76B05,46,5035,12,2,2,3BF1,-107,-15,-81,10

Can you please advice on which commands we should use with the BG95-M3 module to obtain the most reliable signal strength readings?

Thanks and best wishes
sakthi,

Hi,

I find the below commands help me with the best signal info:

AT+QENG=“servingcell” ← gives PCI, etc
AT+QENG=“neighbourcell” ← Gives Neighbour cell info
AT+QNWINFO <— ,,,
