What means +QUSIM: 1

Hi everyone,

in automaticprovider modus i got after some time this URC in the loop:

+CEREG: 2
+QIND: SMS DONE
+CEREG: 0
+CPIN: READY
+QUSIM: 1

+CEREG: 2
+QIND: SMS DONE
+CEREG: 0
+CPIN: READY
+QUSIM: 1

+CEREG: 2
+QIND: SMS DONE
+CEREG: 0
+CPIN: READY
+QUSIM: 1

I think CEREG 2 is the start of a new “searching” and 0 is the end. But what means QUSIM: 1 for me? And why i got: +QIND: SMS DONE SMS initialization finished?

QUSIM: 1 is the identification of the SIM card type.

This information is the initialization result that the module actively returns at boot time.

The modem reboots after this time in the loop? Is it normal?

Module restarts are abnormal if they are not under user control.

You need to confirm if a hardware problem is causing the module to restart.

in which document can i find the informationen about QUSIM?

QUSIM: 1 is only the status report of SIM card, there is no documentation.

ok then there was only one misunderstanding here since you said that it describes the sim card types. thank you!

@Abner-Q Is this strange that the module sends messages that are not documented? I’d expect at least some comment that it should be ignored or what happens if it is not send or send with some other value.

Dear @Abner-Q it is two years passed from your post but i hope you answer to my question.
Please confirm if I understand correctly that the urc “+QUSIM: 1” means that the USIM is detected and “+QUSIM: 0” - the regular SIM is detected?
Hope for your reply.
Thank you.

Hi Servo
the urc “+QUSIM: 1” means that the USIM is detected and “+QUSIM: 0” - The SIM card is not detected.
