Weird behavior on LC29HBA with a 30 minutes period

I’m running a GPS datalogger that records every second triggered by the PPS signal. It will read the first GGA RMC sentences then go to sleep and wait for the next PPS signal. I’m also measuring how many milliseconds the first NMEA sentence comes out after the PPS signal and normally it is around 80msec. Every 30 minutes, with precision down to the second, this interval between PPS and NMEA will jump up to 300 or 400msec for one cycle, then go back to 80msec. I’m using FW LC29HBANR11A05S_CSA2.

What could trigger this 30 minutes super repeatable hiccup? Is the IMU that isn’t calibrated yet?

Thanks!

Hello @vmiceli
I am sorry for the late reply. About this chart, i have some point to confirm:
1)The horizontal axis represents the total duration of continuous recording?
2)The vertical coordinate represents the interval duration between the GGARMC statement and the PPS signal? Is the unit milliseconds?
3)The black dots indicate all the recorded intervals of time?

Please confirm these point as above.

Best regards.

Hi @vmiceli

After communicate with internal team. This is because the module saves navigation data every half an hour, which consumes resources. The storage of navigation(ephemeris) data can assist in positioning next time.Navigation data will be saved in flash.
