The FCM360W module does not support Websocket but I need websocket. What would be the easiest solution? I use QIOPEN to open a socket and then send an HTTP GET upgrade request which works but it would be nice not having to implement the websocket protocol itself. Any way to get the wifi chip to support websocket? Any ideas? We do use NetX Duo already so there might be a solution there?
hi @craftsman
FCM360W supports websocket with Quec open solution, Please check the attached document

Thanks for the reply! However, if I’ve understood QuecOpen correctly, it’s for writing code on the Quectel chip. This is not what we want. We’d like to keep running our code on another processor and just control the FCM360W chip remotely using AT commands (or something similar).
What I’ve done is opening a socket (QIOPEN) and then upgrading it with an HTTP GET request. After that the data is packed into websocket packets and sent over the upgraded (websocket) channel. All this I’d rather not do, including PINGs and PONGs and what not.
