Voice calls with EG25G-GC

Hello,

Actually testing EG25G-GC modem, it seems that voice call is not supported.

ATD061234;

gives “NO CARRIER”

Incoming calls aren’t notified by the modem.

Firmware EG25GGCR07A02M1G

Is there a firmware with voice support ?

Best regards

Stephan

Hi @RadeoCom

The current firmware supports voice call functionality. The “NO CARRIER” response is likely due to software configuration or network registration status.

Could you please help to confirm the following:

  1. Is the SIM card voice-call enabled, and can the SIM make/receive calls when used in a phone?
  2. What network/operator and APN are being used?
  3. Please share the AT results logs of AT+CPIN?, AT+CSQ, AT+CIND?, AT+COPS?, AT+CREG?, AT+CGREG?, and AT+CEREG?.

I have also sent a follow-up email regarding the AT command manual to your email address. Kindly check your email.

Hi Saarvish

We used exactly the same SIM and test software than usually. We just replace an EG25G-GB module by this EG25G-GC
SMS work fine in/out, thus network registration is ok

at+qcfg=“ims”

Should be 1,1 (in Australia at least for volte)

at+qmbncfg=“autosel”

Should be 1 also

After that I set my new modules to a random mbn

at+qmbncfg=“list” and the at+qmbncfg=“select”,“some mbn”

Then power cycle

at+cfun=1,1

None of these commands will work if the Sim isn’t registered to a network.

Hi @RadeoCom,

I have sent you a follow up email to your email address, kindly check.

Hi Richard

Well… my fault… voice is fine with EG25G-GC, it was a SIP issue on our side not routing correctly the RTP coming from voice…

Thanx for support
