Using EM06-A in Europe Region

We are populating a controller with LTE EM06-A module as end product is being used in US.
We are looking to test the EM06-A modules in Ireland before they are shipped to end customer in North America.

I would like to do a simple test to search for networks in Ireland.
I’m able to do this with the EM05-E module using the command: AT+COPS=?
When I try this with the EM06-A module I get the following error: +CME ERROR: 3

Is there a way I can achieve the same result using the EM06-A module.?
Is it possible to setup the band config differently so it works in Ireland?

(Using EM06)
AT+QCFG=“BAND”
+QCFG: “band”,0x260,0x2000001003300185a,0x0

OK

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
(Using EM05)
AT+QCFG=“BAND”
+QCFG: “band”,0x90,0x120080800c5,0x0

OK

As I understand it, Ireland uses B3 and B20 for LTE. The EM06-A is not capable of using either of those bands, and their use cannot be forced by using an unsupported bandmask.

That LTE bandmask encodes for B1, B3, B7, B8, B20, B28, B38 and B41.

You’re stuck without 3G/UMTS B1 support too.

Sadly, this is a case of “You can’t get there from here” as my Irish grandfather would say.

If we were to send the controllers to Italy would it be possible to test this function over there?
It looks like TIM uses B7 in Italy. Would this be compatible with the EM06-A?

Yes, the EM06-A supports B7.

LTE bandmask 0x2000001003300185a decodes as:

B2, B4, B5, B7, B12, B13, B25, B26, B29, B30, B66.
