Unlocking RM2 with EC200A SERIES : AT Commands Required or Default Open Access?"

Hello everyone,

I’m exploring the EC200A series , and I’m curious about its integration with RM2. Could someone clarify whether it’s necessary to send AT commands explicitly to enable RM2 functionality? If so, I’d appreciate guidance on the specific commands or procedures.

Additionally, I’m wondering if RM2 is dependent on certain hardware configurations or if it is open by default. Are there default settings that affect RM2 functionality?

Thank you.

Hello @Deepak_T_S

The module EC200A(running with linux) provides one RGMII/RMII interface that can be used to connect 100/1000 Mbps Ethernet PHYs.

Thanks

Thank you for the response. We have created a custom board with EC200A having RJ45 port as per the hardware reference design doc. The use case is to build a ethernet modem. Board connects to a laptop using RJ45 cable and provides internet access. Issue is the module connects to internet but the laptop isnt able to access internet through Rj45 connector.

Things tried so far:
EC200A is connected to network, has an IP address assigned and is also able to ping a google server and also the ethernet is enabled in EC200A config via AT command. When RJ45 is connected to a laptop, the laptop gets an IP assigned as well but the internet is not connected. Below are the AT command responses.

What are we missing? how to get internet access through ethernet RJ45 connector? Any help would be appriciated.
