Have you set the APN correctly for your SIM?

What does AT+CGDCONT? return?

@snowgum I don’t have the SIM right now and have to wait to give you that answer. Someone else is testing it with a tablet to see if that works. The APN should be correct for the SIM (ATT: broadband). I’ll answer back once I have the SIM back.
