UART issues with BG95M2

I have a BG95-M2 mounted on a custom board.

There is an issue with the board - I cannot turn off either the 3.3V supply or the 1.8V supply - they are always up, but I can power the module up.

When it powers up STATUS goes high and I see “RDY” on the uart.

STATUS then begins to toggle up and down, transitioning ever one or two seconds.

Each time it goes low I see another “RDY” on the uart.

I can send AT commands to the module, but they are ignored when STATUS is high. When STATUS is low the module responds .

For instance, when I send an ATI\r
I get back
Quectel
BG95-M2
Revision: BG95M2LAR02A04

Which looks good to me.

Any idea what’s going on?

Sorry,Is your description correct?Because it’s the opposite of what the hardware design manual says.It should be STATUS high can send AT normally and STATUS low can not do it.
