Sim_Vdd Problem - M66

Hi,

The new sim cards were not detected properly by Quectel M66 module, Whereas we can able to work with our old sim cards. Pls let us know is there any firmware updates available regarding this issue?

Could you tell me the software version of the module?(please use ATI to check)

Its M66FAR02A06BT. We could get Sim_vdd in old sim cards. Whereas when we plug in new sim card its not detecting.

Any idea what would be the issue?

Hi,
After inserting SIM card, you can excute AT+CPIN? to check what error code is returned.
If it not return +CPIN: READY,please send us the error code.
Then you can try to excute AT+QSIMDET=0,0,then restart the module.
If it still doesn’t work, please contact us again.

We executed the following AT commands after MSG_ID_RIL_READY event
ATI
AT+CMEE=2
AT+QSIMDET=0,0
AT+CPIN?

and got the below response

Quectel_Ltd
Quectel_M66
Revision: M66FAR02A06BT

OK

+CME ERROR: SIM busy

Tried restarting the module thrice but received the same error message as above!

Hi,

Please plug the SIM card into another module or the phone to test whether the SIM card can be recognized.
If the SIM card can works on other devices,you can insert the SIM card back into the module.
Press the SIM card holder before the module is powered to prevent bad contact between the shrapnel of SIM card holder and SIM card.
If that still doesn’t work, grab the log using the catcher tool.During the capture of the log, you can restart the module, then execute at+cfun=0, then execute at+cfun=1.
