RM5XX m.2 PCI-E Ethernet Stops Responding

Hello everyone

Well I think I have found it. T-Mobile users will sometime experience the ethernet port just stop responding when using an RM5xxx m.2 modem in a PCI-E Ethernet Chipset board. IPPT or not it’ll just happen.
I was able to use the dmesg command internally on the Modem’s OS to gather some info.

You can see where everything is normal and then randomly…PCI-E down
and it stays down.

Now that I found the issue in the log, what do we all think it might be?

Don’t worry I’ll write a script to watch for that to happen and then have it send AT+CFUN=1,1 if it does. systemd on the modems OS can do it :rofl:
