RM521F and RM520N cannot register to the network

Hi all and @silvia /@herbert.pan-Q

I have two modems and both cannot register to the network and will need your help please. I’m sure the sim card is good because it works with other modems. It shows T-Mobile but no service. Anyone can help me with this please?

When I run COPS it returns 0.

@herbert.pan-Q or @silvia can you please help?

Dear @zigmabeta
Did you confirm the antenna connect properly?
Please share the response of AT commands below:

@silvia thank you for the reply.

Yes antennas are installed. I also changed the SMA cables and used another antennas.
Same sim card works on other modems.

Dear @zigmabeta
From the response, Received signal strength is 99.

Did you do any operations? When you receive the module, do they work properly?
Please check:AT+CFUN?

I only flashed them for the latest firmware. That was it. It was working before yes.

Yes but I have antennas attached. With the same board, antennas, cables and sim card on another Quectel module works. Only my RM521F and RM520N do not work after flashing the modem. Please advise. Thanks

See below for the requested AT command.

@silvia can you please advise?
Still I’m unable to use my RM521F and RM520N.

Dear @zigmabeta
Please try to configure CFUN, if failed, it seems the QCN file had been earsed. Did you use Qfirehose -e to upgrade firmware.
AT+CFUN=1
AT+CFUN?

@silvia I used QFlash_V6.9V_CN. I have Windows 10 pro.
Unfortunately, on both modems I get the below error:

[2024-06-10_19:20:22:126]AT+CFUN=1
[2024-06-10_19:20:22:126]+CME ERROR: 0

Please send me the QCN file for both modules (RM520N and RM521F) with the guideline. Thanks.

Dear @zigmabeta
If use the QCN file from my modules, the performance will be worse than before.
Do you accept this?

No problem. I need to make them work. Please help.

Zigmazigma00@gmail.com

Dear @zigmabeta
I had share the files to you via Message in the forum, please check.

@silvia Wow!!! I really appreciate your help. I have restored both RM521 and RM520 modems. No performance issue. Thanks again.

can you please send me a qcn file for RM520N. I have the same issue.

Dear @tigerbait753
Please backup the QCN, I need to check the file. I will share the user guide to you via Massage, please check.

If restore the QCN from my module, the performance will be worse than before, do you accept this?

I am aware of how to backup and restore the qcn thru QPST.

Yes I accept it. I doesn’t work at all right now so anything is an improvement.

Dear @tigerbait753
I have sent to you via Message, please check.

!!!
Notice to all
Please never try QFirehose -e without the permission of the Quectel.
It will make the module cannot turn on the RF any more.
