I use a GL.iNet XE-3000 and some people seem to use RM520NGLAA R01 whereas others seem to use R03 Quectel modem firmware. But what is the difference between the two if any? Does it matter that I am in Europe? Thanks for support!
The R version is mainly due to differences in baseline versions, but there is no difference in modem performance

@herbert.pan-Q thanks for reaction, so has one train typically more or less features than the other? And what features? I don’t think my requirements are high so I wonder how to weigh lean simple versus heavy complex. Especially in Europe.
R01 to R03 is usually an iteration of the chip software version, which generally does not affect normal use, if you are using R01, you can upgrade to the latest R01 firmware version, and I have sent you the latest firmware version
