RM520N-GL NR5G SA Carrier Aggregation Dropouts

Recently received and setup my RM520N-GL in the mcuzone enclosure, currently using T-Mobile service and have the following configuration:

Firmware: RM520NGLAAR03A03M4G

AT+QCFG="data_interface",0,0
AT+QETH="eth_driver","r8125",1
AT+QCFG="pcie/mode",1
AT+QCFG="usbnet",1
AT+CGDCONT=1,"IPV4V6","fast.t-mobile.com"

I also for NR5G into SA mode only via:

AT+QNWPREFCFG="nr5g_disable_mode",2

Everything seems fine, getting great signal, but in any carrier aggregation configuration I am getting intermittent split second dropouts that cause packet corruption for data being downloaded.

For example, I can aggregate bands n41 and n25 and things appear normal until I start a download for example of a windows 10 ISO via wget, then I get the following errors

2024-07-31 15:12:54 (66.9 MB/s) - Read error at byte 276905974/6140975104 (error:0A000119:SSL routines::decryption failed or bad record mac; error:0A000139:SSL routines::record layer failure). Retrying.

If I lock to a single band, such as n41. Things are normal and there is no packet loss. I am curious if anyone has any insights/thoughts that can lead to a solution.

Until Quectel Support can reply, it does seem like a power supply issue. The more 5G bands aggregated, the more power hungry the modules is. I also read here that people were talking about issues with MCUZONE enclosure causing disconnections.

Yeah understood, tried a plethora of adapters and also PoE powering the MCUZONE enclosure without success. Ended up ordering an enclosure from thewirelesshaven.com and hopefully we’ll see if that improves things.

Dear @sourceunknown
It maybe related with power supply.
