RM520N-GL ignore SIM APN

I updated the module (in my GL.iNet GL-X3000/ Spitz AX) to the latest firmware but now it seems to be ignoring the APN set in my custom profile.

I think this is something to do with the new firmware using the SIM profile? Can this feature be turned off?

Dear @alexatkin
What did you configure APN in your custom profile.
You can also use other AT comnand to configure APN like AT+QICSGP.
Please check mbn via AT+QMBNCFG=“list”.

My network has two APN options.
3internet
three.co.uk

The SIM card profile is set to 3internet as it gives a public IP address and was giving me twice the speed of the other APN. After the firmware update I noticed I was getting a private address and half the speed, implying I was on the CG-NAT APN.

Thankfully speed has improved though, so less concerned if this remains so but its still not a good thing if the APN set in the UI is not being used.

AT+QMBNCFG=“list” just reports ERROR.

Make sure the quotation marks in your command are ASCII " and not unicode ".

Copy-and paste often gives the latter, and the difference matters.

Ah right, I thought I had that command working before and as expected my network is not in the list.

This is not what needs to be checked. You better show the command output here.

Reconnect to the modem and then
