Rm502q-ae won't connect to NR5G

my rm502q-ae connects to lte and nsa 5g just fine, but refuses to connect to NR5G.
I insert my Sim into my iPhone 12 and am able to access NR5G

possible bug report
solutions ??

AT+QNWPREFCFG=“mode_pref” — Set the mode of searching for the network

AT+QNWPREFCFG=“rat_acq_order” — Set the sequence of searching for the network

AT+QNWPREFCFG=“nr5g_band” — Band of SA

Open or close SA

AT+QNWPREFCFG="nr5g_disable_mode"

— The “1” means that the SA is unavailable; while the “2” indicates that the NSA is unavailable; The “0” represents that both SA and NSA are available

Judgement on network register

AT+C5GREG? — Query the register status of 5G SA network

AT+CEREG? & AT+CGATT? — Query the register status in NSA/LTE

Query the signal

AT+QENG=”servingcell” —Query the network register, frequency, and signal strength

As for Signal strength, attention to RSRP and SINR mainly. For the range of judging signal strength, refer to the following figure.

correct, NR5G SA mode doesn’t function. I have to disable it to receive data.

lte and NSA 5G work fine though

In the US most carriers are using NSA mode that’s why it’s important for US customers to get an NSA type modem (RM5xxQ-AE work well). Basically it idles the modem on LTE channels then kicks it into 5G mode whenever there’s large data transfer taking place (and only during then). You cannot force SA mode only when the carrier doesn’t support it.

My carrier supports SA 5g. My iPhone 12 is running on N71 standalone just fine. It’s definitely a software issue on the 502-ae
