there is no R11A07 :joy:
They switched to Release 13, atm there is R13A01

Stiel I have R11A07.
So it must exist.
I also have a DFOTA from R11A06 to R11A07.
I know that also R13A01 exist but it supports very different AT commands from R11.
I’m not asking about R13A01
My question is, once again, about
R11A07.

ouch, didnt knew about this.
I asked local fae about last release, and they gave me R13.
they real only thing that change is the new cell lock, but also on rm the cell lock sequence is the same.
Can you explain? does R13 is not good for RG502Q-EA module?

Lol local fae said who told you abou this update, and scolded me to ask the guys who gives me the modem and router to ask them for the update…

I really find difficult to understand quectel policy about firmware updates.
Modules doesnt really work in a stable way, and every update they really get better.
Why should i struggle to get an update if im using their products?

Sorry for making your confused, so what is your problem now?
RG502QEAAAR11A07M4G is a stable firmware version, and many customer use it.
the reason for why we still have RG502QEAAAR13A01M4G, that is due to the change of Qualcomm baseline.
If you use R11A07 well, you don’t need to upgrade to R13A01, please kindly noted it, thanks!

Hi Peter, just 1 question please.
in firmware RG502QEAAAR13A01M4G seems there is support for 5G CA, meanwhile in
RG502QEAAAR11A07M4G there is still the note on release note that state it is still broken.
You already said R13 version was created because of qualcomm changes, so my question is:

  1. R11 version will get support for 5G CA like R13 version?
  2. Will R13 version replace R11 version, and will continue, or will exist both versions?
  3. Can you confirm R13 version have support for 5G CA like release note state?
