I have 2 5G modules RM510Q-GL and RM502Q-AE. I use an m.2 to USB adapter connected to my laptop.
The RM510Q-GL connects and works as designed. On startup, the adapter flashes a green light indicating it is scanning for local towres for connection.
The RM502Q-AE which is brand new does not scan, the green light does not flash and will not connect.
I can send AT commands successfully. It appears there is a failure somewhere on the modem or in the firmware. I have flashed several different firmware versions all with the same result.
I have noticed running the AT commands:
AT+EGMR=0,5;+EGMR=0,7 ;+EGMR=0,10
RESULT:
+EGMR: “”
+EGMR: “867826050911296”
+EGMR: “8678260509112943”
OK
Here is a picture of the modem with the heatsink removed showing the modem ID’s.
