I’m using two Quectel 5G modules in my project and need assistance with firmware updates and QFirehose flashing under Linux/OpenWrt environment:
Devices:
• Module 1: RM500U-CNV
Firmware version: RM500UCNVAAR03A02M2G_01.001.01.001
USB only working in RNDIS mode, MBIM/QMI not available (/dev/cdc-wdm0 not present)
• Module 2: RM530N-GL
Want to install latest available firmware
Also requesting latest MBN configurations (e.g. for Orange PL)
Environment:
• Host devices: Banana Pi R3 Mini (running OpenWrt 24.10)
• No access to Windows — I need to flash and update modems using Linux-based tools
• I’ve seen references to QFirehose tool for Linux — could you please share the Linux version of this tool and the latest firmware files (or provide access/download links)?
Goal:
• Enable full MBIM/QMI functionality on RM500U-CNV
• Flash latest stable firmware to RM530N-GL
• Confirm compatibility with OpenWrt-based routing system

Additional info:
I purchased RM500U-CNV and RM530N-GL modules from: https://kamami.pl/moduly -5g/1188814-quectel-rm50x-series-5g-sub-6-ghz-module-m-2-form-factor.html
If needed, I can provide more AT command outputs or logs.
our team is using the RM500U-CNV and would like to request the latest firmware update. We would like to double check a possible issue with PDU session over Ethernet establishment.
We are in the process of flashing it onto the modem and would like to
confirm the correct procedure for Linux. Specifically, should we
install the USB drivers and QDLoader from a particular source or
location?
Also, could you let us know if there is an English version of the
update document available?
