Request for Firmware and Diagnostic Tools for Quectel RM520N-GL WWAN Module

Dear Quectel Support Team,

I am managing two Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 9 notebooks running Windows 11, both equipped with Quectel RM520N-GL 5G M.2 WWAN modules (Lenovo part number 4XC1Q24435). These modules were working flawlessly until recently, but for the last two days, both notebooks have been experiencing connectivity issues.

The devices still recognize the SIM and eSIM cards and prompt for the PIN, but the connection always ends with a “no reception” error. I have tested with different network providers and performed various troubleshooting steps, including reinstalling drivers and checking antenna connections, but the issue persists. There has been no recent driver or Windows update, but I suspect that a recent firmware update may have caused the issue.

Could you kindly provide information on the following:

How can I check the current firmware version installed on the Quectel RM520N-GL module?
Where can I download previous firmware versions and related tools for this WWAN module?
Do you have any recommendations or troubleshooting steps I could take to resolve this issue?
Are there any specific diagnostic tools you would recommend to further investigate the problem?

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated, and I look forward to your guidance in resolving this matter.

Best regards,

Dear @sreve
Sorry about this.
For the wwan driver, it should be released by Lenovo, we don’t have the corresponding information about this.
