Hi Quectel support team,
I am running an EC25-E module (VID 2c7c PID 0125, bcdDevice 3.18) on
Linux (Ubuntu 24, ModemManager 1.23.4) and experiencing voice-call
crashes with the current firmware revision.
Current firmware: EC25EFAR06A04M4G
Network: KPN NL (LycaMobile MVNO)
Module variant: EC25-E (EXVIST mini-PCIe)
Symptom: outgoing voice-call via either mmcli --voice-create-call or
direct ATD+316...; over /dev/ttyUSB2 returns OK from the modem, then
within ~5 seconds the modem disconnects from USB and enters a reboot
cycle. The destination phone does not ring. SIM is verified working
(tested in another phone — outgoing calls work fine).
Configuration tested:
- IMS off (AT+QCFG=“ims”,0) — passive disconnect cycle resolved, but
voice-call still crashes - IMS on + volte_disable=0 — voice-call crashes identically; modem
enters reboot loop on next startup - nwscanmode=1 (GSM only) — modem does not register on 2G via Lyca
on KPN, enters reboot loop - UAC enabled (AT+QCFG=“usbcfg”,0x2C7C,0x0125,1,1,1,1,1,0,1) for
USB-audio routing; this is verified persistent in NVRAM - AT+QPCMV=1,0 and AT+QDAI? queried; no effect on crash
I would like to upgrade to a newer stable firmware revision, ideally
EC25EFAR06A11M4G (or Latest), which I understand from community posts
has resolved similar voice-call issues on this hardware.
This is similar to the request by @nucha in the thread “Request for
Firmware Update: EC25-E (EC25EFAR06A04M4G to EC25EFAR06A11M4G or
Latest)” — same starting firmware, same module variant. Please send
the materials to my registered account e-mail.
Could you please provide:
- Download link to EC25EFAR06A11M4G firmware package (incl. QFirehose
binary v1.4.17+ for Linux) - Release notes / changelog from 06A04M4G to 06A11M4G
- Rollback image (EC25EFAR06A04M4G) in case I need to revert
Thank you in advance.
