Questions regarding Quectel RG500U-EB

Hi everyone. I have a router Cudy P2 5G. This router has a RG500U-EB module. I have working OpenWRT image for this router. My question is, what kind of modes does this module supports ? The AT+QCFG”usbnet” command shows 1,3,5,11,13,15, if i remember correctly, but i can’t get it to switch to other mode. Regardless of settings it uses rndis-host driver. How can i change it to other mode, and if it’s even possible ? Thank you for answer.

I have reasons to believe that there are not so many differences between RG500U and RM500U. See this and the following my posts:

Ok, but why i can’t make it switch to ecm or ncm mode ? It’s in rndis regardless of usbnet setting ?

Show the result of the following command: cat /sys/kernel/debug/usb/devices

Right now, router is back on original Cudy firmware, but that’s how it showed up when i flashed OpenWRT:

There is a possibility that the modem runs customized firmware that prevents switching to other USB modes.

I would start from re-flashing.

Dear @LS3480
Please share your current firmware.

It shows as RG500UEBAAR03A08M4G_01

Hi, i’d like to ask is there a newer firmware for this modem. My cuurnet firmware version is RG500UEBAAR03A08M4G_01.300.01.300. Thank you for answer.
