Question about Terminology for RM520N-GL

To whom it may concern,

we currently bought multiple RM520N-GL for testing. The Terminology printed on their metal housing however is different:
RM520N-GLAP-M20-SGASA (This one has no communication)
RM520N-GLAA-M20-SGASA (This one works fine)

For the testing, we use a generic USB-to-M.2 board for communication.

  1. Can you tell me what is the difference between GLAP and GLAA?
  2. Do you have an idea why the GLAA is working, but the GLAP is not?

GLAP is a pcie version and not support usb : PCIe interface only (USB disabled perpetually via eFuse) & also not support PCIe RC mode (i.e RGMII connectivity)

Thanks a lot, this makes sense and answers my question. Is there any available document that describes the terminology like you just did, but for all modules?
