Question about Electrolytic or Tantalum capacitors in a PCB design for BG95-M3

Hi! I’m designing a custom board for the BG95-M3 module. According to the Hardware Design document we should use low ESR 100uF electrolityc capactors in VBAT_RF and VBAT_BB supply inputs.

My question is if I can use 100uF tantalum smd low ESR capacitors instead of the electrolytics.

Thanks!

Yes, tantalum capacitors are acceptable, but you need to pay more attention to the leakage current that may exist in the tantalum capacitors.
