Hello, my RG501Q-EU with the revision RG501QEUAAR12A10M4G_04.200.00.000. I’ve read there is a new firmware version available. Could a support send me it?
Anyway another question would be, is there cell locking available for this modem? I tried it with gsmctl -A ‘AT+QNWLOCK=“common/lte”,2,300,45’ but without success.
Any Help would be appreciated!

AT+QNWLOCK, this command is not recommended for commercial use.
Why did you want to use it? This parameter is number of cells to be locked, so it should be 1.

I live in Germany and there is a cell tower with LTE band 1 and 3 nearby but the modem chooses one that is about 6km further away. Because of that, the signal is about -111 RSRP and close to -20 RSRQ.
So I wanted to lock to the nearby cell tower to boost my signal but just locking a band didn’t help.
Do you think locking it on the nearby tower should help in my case or do you do have another suggestion what I could try?

If lock one cell, when the cell has some problem, you don’t have any network.
You can try to configure the band information via AT+QCFG=“band”,
