Quectel RG500U-EA Ctrl-C on Serial/UART Bootup only selects PINTEST

Hello All,

I am trying to debug the RG500U-EA via Serial/UART interface. When it starts up i see this message -

CTRL+C: enter instruction mode
PINTEST OR FASTBOOT OR RECOVERY OR DEBUG

PINTEST: test gpio(s) connectivity.

When i press CTRL+C it automatically goes into PINTEST. Is there a way to select FASTBOOT, RECOVERY or DEBUG? Also are there any firmware updates for this chipset? i can’t find much information or regarding this model of router i have.

Unless you try the QuecOpen version, otherwise Quectel will not provide the way to access the modem in that way.
For standard modem, the modem could enter upgrade mode by AT command AT+QDOWNLOAD=1 or pull the USB_BOOT to 1.8V.
