is it okay to lock bands and cells everyday? i mean using AT Commands daily to lock different bands or cells at different times. will this cause any issues for the quectel modules over time, or is it completely fine?
Why? In non-laboratory settings, usually your requirements are not permitted.
I use a custom script on my OpenWrt router to lock specific cells at specific times, such as peak and off-peak hours. During peak hours, some cells become very slow because of high usage, while some other cells/bands still perform well. The point is to keep the speed balanced at all times. That’s why I use this setup.And the cell lock command runs two times a day.
I think your control is extremely challenging. How did you observe the traffic volumes at different time periods?
