Hello, I’m requesting firmware for (EG12GTPAR01A09M4G).
Problem: Modem is stuck in PS mode, AT commands fail or freeze com ports.
Will not register LTE. I need latest stable firmware to restore LTE functionality and restore multimode operation.

I’m not able to check the firmware version as the modem will not accept any commands on the AT port.

I was able to finally get AT commands through,
with my ATI enty: Quectel EG12 Revision:EG12GTPAR01A09M4G

The firehose image I recieved is 9x65 resulting in platform fail. I’m unable to flash with this as its for an entirely different chipset.

The EG12(GTPAR variant) is built on MDM9207/ 9x07
In order for me to flash I’ll need prog_firehose_9x07.mbn and the EG12-G compatible rawprogram0.xml, patch.xml and matching .mbn binaries.

Can you please confirm that the firmware package you can send me is not carrier locked? I am needing a firmware conguration that will allow for band changes and and open APN configuration. Thank You

I’m having trouble getting this modem to enter EDL mode- can you give me some detailed instructions on which pins are correct on this board to short into edl mode?

considering there are like 0 other posts in regards to this model, can I get some assistance on triggering EDL mode for this modem,

I’ve gotten it into EDL mode on my own, for anyone interested, the only way to enter EDL mode on this modem is by removing the shield, the correct jumper with a 10k ohm resistor is between TP1 (very small gold pad) and the third gold (start left to right) pad on the row of 4 gold pads under the shield. For orientation, the 3 gold pads should be above the 4 gold pads. 000

I’m having another issue, I’m getting platform fail now. My modem enters EDL but firehose fails to load. I’m not sure if secure boot is enabled? I need a signed firehose for EG12-GTPAR01A09M4G.

  1. Through your IMEI I can’t find any module, maybe the version you told me is not correct.
  2. Check if the USB connection is stable and Do not use sahara only mode for upgrading.

@mikey I was able to flash successfully with EG12GTPAR01A09M4G but I am region locked with this firmware. I’m in the U.S. trying to register on the Verizon network.

AT+QCFG=“band”
+QCFG:“band”,0x0,0x860000000000,0x0
This = band 8, 46, 47 <----- cannot register on U.S Verizon network with these bands.

I need firmware with one of these types :
EG12GNAUAR01A09M4G or
EG12GVERAR01A04M4G or
EG12GGBR03A07M4G
I need the U.S firmware variant that supports Verizon Bands.
The TPAR variant= Telestra/Asia-Pacific
