Quectel 5GDM01EK USB disconnect issue on Windows and no network connection on Linux

Hello,

I am experiencing issues with two Quectel 5GDM01EK units.

On Windows systems, the devices continuously disconnect and reconnect when connected via USB. As a result, Device Manager keeps refreshing and the units are not properly recognized, even though the appropriate drivers (including the latest versions) are installed.

On Linux systems, the units remain stably connected and are detected correctly. However, they are unable to connect to the mobile network.

Based on this behavior, I suspect this may be firmware-related.

Could you please let me know if this is a known issue? If so, I would appreciate guidance on how to update or reflash the firmware.

Thank you in advance.

Dear @Georgios_Anagnostopo
Please share firmware version of module.

Hi Silvia,

The firmware version is: RG530FEUEAR05A02M8G, and it is the same for both Quectel modules.

Dear @Georgios_Anagnostopo

Do you install corresponding driver in Windows?

Please query AT+QCFG=”usbnet” and install corresponding driver.

I have sent the latest firmware to you, please check.
