I accidentally corrupted/erased the NAND boot area on my Zyxel NR5103E v2
The device now appears to be stuck in a preloader/boot loop.
Current symptoms:
- Power LED blinks briefly, then the router reboots repeatedly
- UART output is unstable/intermittent
- Sometimes shows:
- system halt
- entering main console loop
- USB device occasionally appears/disappears on Linux
- mtkclient can sometimes detect communication, but normal boot never completes
The router contains a Quectel RG500L series modem and appears to use a MediaTek MT6880/MT6890 platform.
I am looking for:
- Emergency recovery procedure
- BootROM / USB_BOOT method
- Test points
- Recovery firmware
- Preloader / BL2 related information
- Any way to restore the boot chain without a working system
I believe the corruption happened after modifying/testing NAND partitions.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
