I have a Quectel EC200U Module and aim to integrate it with my Orange Pi Zero 3 for internet access. My goal is to enable internet browsing on my Orange Pi, essentially using it as a standard laptop would. Despite consulting various guides and attempting different methods, I’ve encountered challenges in installing the necessary drivers.
While configuring and attempting to compile the files using menuconfig, I’m encountering errors such as “scripts/sortextable.c:31:10: fatal error: tools/be_byteshift.h: No such file or directory**” and “fatal error: classmap.h: No such file or directory**.”
Could someone please provide guidance on the appropriate documentation and driver support required for establishing internet connectivity on my Orange Pi? I’ve been following a guide available at “https://sixfab.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Quectel_UMTS_LTE_5G_Linux_USB_Driver_User_Guide_V3.0.pdf. ”
I am using the Ubuntu 20.04 as my OS downloaded from the OrangePi Website and the Kernel version is 5.4.0-125.
I appreciate any assistance provided in advance.
Thank you.

See if you can use a newer kernel. EC200U got support in option driver around v5.15.90
Before that you will need to manually add the vid:pid to the driver using newid mechanism. No compilation is necessary.
Your data interface should be already picked by the standard cdc_ether driver, check with cat /sys/kernel/debug/usb/devices
Okay. I will try with a kernel version higher than 5.15.90.
I installed the Orange Pi OS for Ubuntu version 22.04 and it works. Now I am able to connect to it via Serial Interface. I am able to run all the AT Commands. But I want to use it as modem for my OrangePi, how can I do that. I have tried using Modem Manager but it showing Segmentation Fault and I have tried to add it as Mobile Broadband connection from the network settings but that too is not working. What are the other option I can try to use it as modem?

You don’t need ModemManager, remove it.

Switch from RNDIS to ECM with AT+QCFG="usbnet",1
Configure the APN with at+qicsgp=1,1,"your apn"
Check the context activation status with AT+QIACT?
“Dial” with at+qnetdevctl=1,1,1
Then run DHCP client on the interface associated with the modem, it should be mentioned in dmesg next to cdc_ether.
Do you have any documentation where I can read more regarding this?
Hi jfrog , i am trying to setup modem for raspberry pi. but there is no internet i am getting. able to send SMS

Jio is IPv6 only. Your modem already obtained an address from the carrier, so you need to configure the host to obtain the address from the modem. Once you get IPv6 connectivity you will need to figure out what you can do with IPv4.
It is probably already activated, worth checking the current state first as suggested earlier.
Probably because the context is in active state. I would deactivate it first or even get the modem offline with at+cfun=4 and try again.
how to do it ? could you please help .
