NBI Appointment Schedule page loading issue on LTE connection

Hi everyone,

I am facing a strange issue while using LTE internet through a Quectel based device.

When opening normal websites, everything works fine. But on some government websites like NBI Appointment Schedule, pages sometimes load very slow or keep spinning for long time. Few times the appointment slots also failed to load.

I am not sure if this is related to DNS, network latency, carrier settings, or something else.

Has anyone seen similar issue on LTE modules when accessing websites with heavy forms or appointment systems?

Any suggestion for checking connection quality or troubleshooting this problem will be helpful.

Thanks.

Hi There,
May I know what module are you using? I suggest you to run a speed test when testing by comparing when loading the normal website VS the NBI website.

Thanks for your reply.

I am using a Quectel LTE standard module (EC25 series). I will run a speed test and compare the results between normal websites and the NBI Clearance appointment page. The issue only happens while loading the NBI appointment schedule, while other sites open fine on the same LTE connection.

I’ll share the speed test results here after testing.

Hi there,
Sure. Good to hear that.

I’ve experienced something similar with the NBI Online Appointment portal. In my case, the issue wasn’t the website itself it appeared to be related to the LTE connection. Switching to a different network or changing the DNS (such as Google DNS or Cloudflare) sometimes improved page loading and allowed the appointment slots to appear. It’s also worth checking latency and packet loss, as government portals with dynamic forms can be more sensitive to unstable LTE connections.

Hi @Mariasantos ,

Based on the information provided, the issue may be related to DNS resolution, network latency, or packet loss rather than the EC25 module itself.

To further check the LTE connection, please try the following commands when the issue occurs:

AT+CSQ

AT+CEREG?

AT+QNWINFO

AT+QENG=“servingcell”

AT+QIDNSCFG?

AT+QPING=1,“8.8.8.8”

Please also compare the loading performance using the same SIM/network with another device. If changing the DNS server improves the issue, please share the DNS configuration and test results with us.

If the issue persists, please provide the EC25 variant, firmware version (AT+QGMR) and the above AT command results for further analysis.
