We have been using the EC25-E satisfactorily in India for the last couple of years. Our use case is for 4G Router. We now see the EM05-CE as an attractive option from a price point as well as because it has a M.2 connector which is the direction we want to move towards.
It seems both modules support QMI and other than lack of GSM/Edge and ESIM support, the EM05-CE should perform as well in India.
Would be great to hear any experiences with the EM05-CE and if we should expect any surprises.
