Hello. I represent an Israeli company. For the new development, I ordered several LG580P modules. I got them today. But glonass doesn’t work in them. All commands like $PQTMCFGSAT , $PQTMCFGCNST return errors if glonass is specified in them. I’ve tested LG290p before, and everything is great there. Why is glonass not working? How to solve this problem?

Is there any impact on your application without GLONASS?
On LG580P, GLONASS is disabled by default. The module works fine even without GLONASS.

Glonass is required for my applications. The LG580P was announced as an all-system module! I tried to turn on glonass with $PQTM commands, but it gives an error. Maybe I’m doing something wrong? What command can I use to turn on glonass?

You can enable GLONASS with the PQTMCFGCNST command. You must then save the configuration and do a hot restart. If unsure how to construct this let me know!
$PQTMCFGCNST command return error, If I try on gloanss. As I understand it, it is artificially banned.
It is not artificially banned… but since the 580 uses a dual receiver & antenna, they chose to
discard the Glonass signal in order to split the radio side of receiver.
But try here: cap. 2.3.48. PQTMCFGSIGGRP & PQTMCFGSIGNAL & PQTMCFGSIGNAL2
