LG290P UART Configuration

Reading through LG290P(03)_GNSS_Protocol_Specification version 1.0, I think I know the answer already; but on the LG290P is there any way to configure message rates for UARTS from the other UARTs?

The use case is that I want to hook up a telemetry radio to UART3 to transmit RTCM corrections to rovers, but I don’t want to have to connect a PC to UART3 to configure the message rates.

Assuming the answer to the above is “no,” I have a feature request. The PQTMCFGUART command has a UART interface index that lets you configure a specific UART from any UART; can we get that same functionality added to the PQTMCFGMSGRATE command in the next firmware?

Hi @WiFiLuke
As shown in the figure below, the PQTMCFGUART instruction in Quectel_LG290P(03)_GNSS_Protocol_Specification_V1.0.pdf can configure other UARTs through the current serial port.

My request is may we please have similar functionality with the PQTMCFGMSGRATE command?

I can adjust the baud rate, but not what messages are being sent out the UART I have feeding a one way data link. If I factory reset the module, I don’t have any way to get the module back to the state I need.

Hi @WiFiLuke
This feature is not currently supported.
This feature will be developed in subsequent software, but it may take a long time.
