LC29HEA: Enable GST?

Is it possible to enable the GST message in the LC29HEA and LC29HEANR11A04S_RSA.bin versions?

If not, could you send me a BETA firmware like the ones you sent me for the LG290p?

I need the GST message for my project.

Can you confirm if there’s any firmware for the LC29HEA that supports GST?
If there’s a beta version, that would work too.

Please send me the newest firmware you have, even if it’s a BETA version.

Thinking about how to quickly fix the GST issue.

Is it possible to flash the firmware for the DA model to my EA model?

I’m not worried about losing the 10 Hz if I get the GST message. 1 Hz is enough for me. Is this possible?

If so, I would appreciate it if you could send me the latest firmware for the DA model.

Hi @amlago I have tested and confirmed from my end. GST currently able to configure using DA model and I did flash the DA firmware on EA module. To enable the GST output can execute below command:

$PQTMCFGMSGRATE,W,GST,1*0B
$PQTMSAVEPAR*5A

For more information, in the DA firmware version LC29HDANR11A04S_RSA release note, it stated that GST can be enabled as part of new feature releases:

Meanwhile, for EA module, currently to get further clarification from internal team.

I will share you both DA and EA firmware for your usage and testing.

When I flash the DA firmware on my EA device, will I have any problems with licenses and permissions in the future?

Hi @amlago for now, I highly recommend do not flash the firmware yet. This cross-flashed from our end is for internal verification and testing purposes only. I will get further clarification from the management team on this matter.

But I just want to know about the licensing. Will they give me another license if something goes wrong?

The truth is, I need access to GST as soon as possible, and I’m willing to sacrifice 10Hz and other improvements for it.

Hi @amlago after further checked with internal team, this process for cross-flashed only for internal usage and testing. Externally, we are highly not recommended for the cross-flash between modules. Please take note that GST and ZDA messages are not supported on EA module.

Even with same chipset and board; different modules version will require different activation codes, and this will directly impact the feature within module such as RTK function.

If the license only for EA module, then its only can be used with EA firmware and this same goes for DA. Hope that will help you for better understanding.
