Sorry to resurrect this old topic. I have the exact same problem as you did, just two years later.

I tried upgrading the module on Linux, and I got to a point where the module is rebooted, and it’s kind of stuck in fastboot mode, but the firmware upgrade tool doesn’t manage to pick up the device and continue.
I also tried to do it on Windows, but there my biggest problem was that I did not have the Windows drivers for the card, so there weren’t any virtual serial ports for the upgrade tool.
I managed to get a driver package from Quectel, but that only contained the driver for the v2 version of this card (different USB VID and PID), and thus Windows would not detect the driver files as belonging to my card.
My main question would be: how and where did you manage to find Windows drivers for the Quectel EC20 (first version) that Turris shipped along their Turris Omnia units?
