Hello,

This is a follow-up to my earlier request (Sept 14) for the latest ADSP firmware for my Quectel EG25-G module.

Module details:

  • Module/Revision: EG25GGBR07A08M2G

I previously flashed ADSP 30.200 based on public firmware availability, which fixed most call-audio issues. However, I’m still
experiencing a recurring problem: on some calls (not all), the audio is completely muted for the entire call, forcing a device
reboot to restore normal call audio. This happens intermittently and is not tied to any specific software error on the
Linux/ModemManager side — the routing and call setup look correct in the logs, the mute appears to originate from the
modem/ADSP side.

I noticed in one of your public docs (docs/ADSP-CARRIERS.md) that firmware 01.003.01.003 is recommended by the maintainer as
working reliably (“works perfectly”), which is different from the 30.200 I’m currently running. I’d like to request either:

  1. The 01.003.01.003 ADSP firmware mentioned above, or
  2. The newer A0.301/A0.304 firmware series I’ve seen referenced in other forum threads,

whichever is more appropriate/stable for this module revision.

Also, for reference: AT+GETADSPVER still returns “Unknown ADSP Firmware” on my module, which I understand is a known reporting
issue — so I cannot confirm the exact ADSP version currently active beyond knowing I flashed 30.200.

Hello, and thank you again for the EG25GGBR07A08M2G_A0.301.A0.301 package.

I am about to reflash the module (EG25-G in a PinePhone Pro) with this package, and I would like to bring it back to a fully clean factory state, including the NV/EFS settings, which are not overwritten by flashing.

In the past this module ran a third-party firmware (the-modem-distro) and some settings were changed with AT commands (MBN selection with AT+QMBNCFG, IMS, AT+QSCLK, URC/RI settings). I want to rule out any leftover configuration.

Could you please tell me:

  1. What is the official procedure to restore all NV/EFS settings to factory defaults on EG25-G with firmware A0.301?
  2. Is AT+QPRTPARA=3 supported on EG25-G, and what exactly does it restore (factory values, or only a previous backup)?
  3. Is AT+QCFG=“nvrestore”,0 supported on EG25-G, and how is it different from AT+QPRTPARA=3?
  4. Does a full flash with QFirehose (EDL) also reset the EFS2 partition, or is it preserved?
  5. After the reset, are there any settings that must be configured again for normal voice calls (for example audio interface AT+QDAI, or MBN auto-selection)?
