L96 UTC validity

Hi,
I am reading out the UTC field from the RMC sentence. If the UTC field is populated, is it also always valid? Or do I need to check other fields such as FixMode (in GSA) or Status (in RMC) before the UTC values can be trusted?

It is recommended that you use UTC time after reading valid positioning from RMC or GGA.

Thank you @george.gao . Is it sufficient to check for the RMC Status field being “A” or “D”, or do I also need to check that e.g. the Lat & Lon fields are populated?

Hi @arurke
Just confirm that the “Status” of the RMC statement changes to A. Once the longitude and latitude change to A, the longitude and latitude will have data.
