I have Quectel L76 B - L76B-M33 - Q1-A7861 supplied as a Waveshare GNSSL76X GPS Module. This module is extremely sensitive and a great performer with the supplied 25x25mm antennae.
I have a project requirement to present a clock display to show local time in a motor vehicle which changes timezone automatically dependent on the vehicle timezone location.
Do I need to program the L76 to display the NMEA 0183 sentence $GP ZDA to enable me to use field 5 - Local time zone offset from GMT (in hours 00 to ±13 hours and field 6 - Local time zone offset from GMT (in minutes)
Hi Lint_Robb,
L76 series support turn on ZDA output via PMTK314. However, ZDA message is not update in recent docs.
Quectel_L76_Series_GNSS_Protocol_Specification_V3.3.pdf is sent to you via MESSAGE, please check details from keywords PMTK314.
Best regards.
Hi Lint_Robb,
Restore to default NMEA sentence output by sending :$PMTK314,-1*04
